The UN has come up with the following facts and figures that needs to be carefully looked into in order to ensure sustainable economic growth in the world.
Roughly half the world’s population still lives on the equivalent of about US$2 a day. And in too many places, having a job doesn’t guarantee the ability to escape from poverty. This slow and uneven progress requires us to rethink and retool our economic and social policies aimed at eradicating poverty.
A continued lack of decent work opportunities, insufficient investments and under-consumption lead to an erosion of the basic social contract underlying democratic societies: that all must share in progress. The creation of quality jobs will remain a major challenge for almost all economies well beyond 2015.
Sustainable economic growth will require societies to create the conditions that allow people to have quality jobs that stimulate the economy while not harming the environment. Job opportunities and decent working conditions are also required for the whole working age population.
Global unemployment increased from 170 million in 2007 to nearly 202 million in 2012, of which about 75 million are young women and men.
Nearly 2.2 billion people live below the US$2 poverty line and that poverty eradication is only possible through stable and well-paid jobs.
470 million jobs are needed globally for new entrants to the labour market between 2016 and 2030.

Sustainable economy is an economic development program which makes an attempt to satisfy the wants and needs of the society in a way that sustains natural resources, flora & fauna, environment for the current and future generations. One of the most important problems being faced by humanity today is the over-exploitation of the natural resources and the eco-system. Sustainable economic growth helps ensuring growth using these resources in a manner that will not result in exploitation and depletion.
Apart from rapid business and market growth, sustainable economic growth warrants job creation, food security, strengthening governance & institutions, improving regulatory frameworks, productivity and giving fresh fillip to micro, small and medium enterprises in the economy. Of course, effective policies and greater infrastructure are the other essential aspects to be implemented in order to ensure sustainable economic growth.
In this scenario, the upcoming conference is being organized in the most beautiful city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates in order to achieve the following objectives;
a) Identify the major contributory factors which help us to ensure sustainable economic growth in the world;
b) Undertaking focused research activities on important areas in sustainability, good governance and investments;
c) Provide an ideal platform for researchers, economists, bankers and practitioners to network and share their research and practical experiences to develop models and systems for ensuring sustainable economic growth; and
d) Suggest practical and meaningful solutions to the above issues so that investors and markets bring prosperity to one and all.
